Everwear. Guaranteed Garments.
From its garage workshop near Melbourne — which combines an atelier, with cars, bikes and coffee — Everwear Denim makes the best handmade jeans in Australia. Having spent several years working as a tailor on London’s Savile Row, cutting the finest bespoke suits at Hardy Amies and Kilgour — before moving on to the bespoke department of luxury fashion house Alexander McQueen — Everwear founder, Lee May, returned home to Australia to realise his lifelong dream of designing and cutting (by hand) small batches and bespoke orders of high quality Japanese denim jeans.
Drawing on the rich history and heritage of typographic expression in denim, Everwear’s identity represents a contemporary take on that world. Designed to be just as hard wearing as a pair of their jeans, characterful letterforms with pronounced ‘ink traps’ allow the branding to work just as well at minuscule sizes as when employed at larger scale — a smart (and fun) approach applied with an even hand.
Small batch denim. Cut by hand. Made to last.
From the pressed rivets, to the outsize inner pocket bag print and the all-important signature leather patches, Everwear’s ‘ink-trap’ typography gives each pair of jeans a voice — spoken at different volumes in different places, and always with a touch of irreverence.
Everwear’s patches are made using excess kangaroo leather, which is both lighter in colour and softer than the leather typically applied to denim — providing a perfect surface for the debossed brand and sizing information.
